The Flower of Light Retreat Center is the creation of a family of three from Ireland, Antoinette, Donal and Dylan. It is our intention to provide a Private Sacred Space for all those who are seeking the magic and mystery of ancient and modern Egypt and to make the teachings of the Mystery Schools available to all who seek them. A home away from home, the Flower of Light offers our guests the wonderful opportunity to experience local customs and lifestyle. Sitting peacefully in a traditional Egyptian Village at the foot of the mountains of the Valley of the Kings, and far from the maddening crowd, the Flower of Light is right at the heart of the network of Temples and Tombs of the ancient Mystery Schools. An Environmentally friendly creation, the Center is designed to promote the integration of the natural healing energies of this ancient land, a land where the most powerful wisdom in the universe survived and thrived for thousands of years. The Flower of Light Center is a new concept for a new age, lifting the veil on tourist Egypt, we provide our guests with the opportunity to develop a deep and personal connection and to discover Egypt in a totally unique way. “There exists an ancient body of writing found in the Egyptian city of Alexandria in the early Christian era in which it talks about the Sky/Ground connection of the Temples, Pyramids and tombs of Egypt linked in numerous ways to the issue of the resurrection and immortality of the soul. These writings the “Hermetic Texts” were believed to have been the work of the ancient Egyptian wisdom God known as Thoth, who in one passage makes the following remarks to his disciple Asclepius “Do you not know, Asclepius, that Egypt is an image of Heaven? At the Flower of Light we specialize in the Sacred Science of Alchemy and the Mystery School Teachings, offering Sacred Wisdom Retreats and Path of the Mystery School Initiate Sacred Journey's. While we regularly run our own Sacred Journeys and Retreats, we are also available to create private Sacred Journey's and Retreat programs for individuals and groups. Whether traveling alone or in a group, the Flower of Light is the perfect place to discover the freedom and tranquility of Egyptian village life. Discover the surrounding countryside on horse back, hire a bicycle, walk around the village and experience the local men carving their statues, they may even invite you into their home for tea!. Climb the Sacred Mountain known as Thoth Hill, The Crown of Thebes, overlooking the Valley of the Kings and experience a spectacular panoramic view of Luxor, a perfect place for meditation. Visit the house of Howard Carter (discoverer of Tutankhamen's Tomb) which is a five minute walk and can be seen from the Flower of Light Center. Hetshepsut Temple, Habu Temple, Amenhotep III Temple (father of Akhneaten), the Valley of the Queens, the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, Malkata, Hathor Temple and the Tombs of the Nobles are all within a ten minute drive from the Center. The River Nile and the ferry boat are just a short journey away, you can cross the Nile and be in the busy center of Luxor in just minutes. The Flower of Light welcomes all visitors, whether you are interested in a Sacred Journey or Retreat or just in need of a peaceful space to unwind, this natural oasis of beauty is the perfect place for meditation, relaxation and the ultimate Egyptian experience.
